San Antonio and Austin contested their second annual shootout match on Feb. 12, hosted by the Wake the Dead coffeehouse in San Marcos.
Austin won the match for a second time. Last year, victory hung on the result of the final game. This year, San Antonio acheived a plus score on the top 10 boards; the results from boards 11 through 20 swung the match in Austin's favor.
Playing conditions were a bit crowded; the staff of Wake the Dead were very accomodating and helpful, and I'd like to thank them for opening up their venue for the match.
