Burt Carpenter went 3-0 to win the Open section, defeating a red-hot Alan Laverty (who blundered in a favorable position). Matthew Liu took clear second place with 2.5 out of three, and five players tied for third (Drew Sarkisian, Peter Kappler, William Molina, Alan Laverty, and Derek Chang) with 2 out of 3 points.

Bret Treadway and Arindam Raina shared first and second in the U1800 section with 2.5 out of 3.
