First of all, I'd like to thank everyone for coming out to play at our second event. The unrated quads brought in 40 players with an overall attendance of 55 or so players. That being said, I'd like to apologize for the length of time it took to gather the entries and pair up the sections. Thanks again to William Tompkins for helping me out. I'm learning as I go along and will get better over time. I appreciate your patience and support.
The club was honored to play host to ten-time Texas State Champion and eleven-time Southwest Open Champion FM Joe Bradford. A very strong player, and a very nice guy as well. Joe hung out and took on all comers at speed chess. Thanks for coming out, Joe...hope to see more of you soon!
I hope everybody had a good time. We're not expecting a large turnout during Super Bowl Sunday, but who knows?

Sure, we originally scheduled G/30 Quads, but due to our late start, I took the suggestion of Christian Caraval and shortened the time limit a bit to save some time. Nobody seemed to mind, and once we got started the event ran smoothly. Section winners received $15.00, and second-place finishers received $5.00.
