Sorry for the late start and computer problems at the beginning of Sunday's G/15 unrated event. Thanks for your patience with a grumpy TD who wasn't at his best...my apologies. Due to various difficulties that I've sinced solved, we used normal USCF ratings rather than Quick Ratings (the good news is that this event isn't rated). Special thanks to Eugene Kohnitz for being a sport and evening out the number of participants (a total of 18).
It's been suggested the next G/15 event we run should be 5 rounds rather than 6. Send me feedback either way.
We had a strong turnout and a hotly contested contest. Three players tied for first place with 4.5/6: John Bell, Michael Langer, and Peter Kappler. Upon looking at the results while typing this up, I may have made a mistake awarding the Top U1800 prize, which goes to Abhay Raina with 3.5/6. Eric Lu, Scott Slade and Ju Hyung Ahn tied for 2nd U1800. Sorry about that, Abe, but I'll make it up to you next week with the cash.
